Monimoto has two main modes: Armed and Alarm. (You can think of this as Good and Bad)
When in ARMED mode, the device is ready to sense any kind of motion.
In the app this mode is represented with the green check mark.
When motion is detected, Monimoto device checks if the Key Fob is nearby (max. range outdoors is 50 meters/165 feet).
If the Key Fob is located, the device stays in Armed mode.
If the Key Fob is not found, it enters Alarm mode.
In the app, this mode is represented like this:
Note: When the app is connected to device via Bluetooth in Device Settings, Alarm mode cannot be triggered! When testing, ALWAYS disable Bluetooth on your phone. For daily usage, it is up to you if you prefer to leave Bluetooth on or off, as the device and app do not require it.
When in Alarm mode, GSM and GPS modules are turned on. Monimoto calls the owner within one minute, then determines its location and sends coordinates to the owner via push notification.
Exiting the alarm mode
To exit alarm mode Monimoto needs to detect its Key Fob nearby.
You can also stop the alarm in Alarm Actions, there you can Disarm or set device to Snooze. If Snoozed the device will ignore any movement. It will come back to Armed mode automatically after chosen snooze time finishes.
You can also stop your alarm by connecting to the device from the Monimoto app Device Settings menu via Bluetooth.
